Marketing

When business strategy, goals, and visual communication come into play, we have marketing. Check out a few of my favorite past projects.

LnL Roofing and Exteriors

The LnL Roofing and Exteriors logo overlays an image with packages of shingles ready to be installed on a residential roof.
The LnL logo as seen within their Facebook cover photo.
A social media ad with a baby sitting on the floor of a lime green nursery playing with foam toys and screaming happily near a white crib. Large text reads, “Ready to fix your crib? Call Rod: 303-350-0068.” An LnL Roofing and Exteriors logo is displayed in the bottom right corner of the image.
A social media ad for LnL Roofing and Exteriors.

LnL Roofing and Exteriors is a roofing contractor located in the Denver, Colorado area. In this project, I created the company’s logo and laid the foundation for their marketing efforts by setting up their social media accounts; creating promotional images, ads, and social media banners with a unified brand voice; and advising on the website design and content.

This semester long college advertising project featured research from the Millennial and Generation X segments. Special focus was placed on brand positioning and creative content creation for shows at the Overture Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

The Overture Center offers entertainment and arts to Madison and its greater Wisconsin communities. The ad I designed was created to stimulate interest among the Millennial demographic for a showing of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban featuring the Madison Symphony Orchestra.

This interactive magazine ad catches the viewer’s interest with a worried rat holding the Daily Prophet on a cell phone screen looking at a looming Dementor. The portion of this ad with the rat and phone can be opened to reveal Harry Potter casting the Patronus Charm which wraps around the Madison Symphony Orchestra. Harry seems to be pointing at the name of this event, as the eye follows the copy down the page to read on for further details about this performance.

The Overture Center logo is property of the Overture Center for the Arts and is not affiliated with the author of this project. Harry Potter is a property of NBC Universal and is not affiliated with the author of this project. This project was made for educational use only.

Prosperity Southwest

The landing page of the Prosperity Southwest Wisconsin website on mobile.
A county page from the Prosperity Southwest Wisconsin website.
County pages included large, eye-popping banners and copy explaining the assets of each region.

Prosperity Southwest is Southwestern Wisconsin’s regional economic development organization. I was hired as their Marketing Intern in the summer of 2019 to create and collect content for their new website.

I worked with Prosperity Southwest and the Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission to develop the content for Prosperity Southwest’s updated website. In response, I coordinated between six economic developers and many more regional organizations to find pictures and curate copy for the site. While I cannot take credit for the final design of the website, most of the copy is my own. I was also able to make suggestions for the design comps and took a couple of the final pictures used, too!

An advertisement creating awareness for Find Your Storm’s mission and social media.

Find Your Storm was my first design consulting project. This lifestyle brand was holding a 5K run/walk on a local trail and sought marketing and design assistance.

In this project, I was head designer and advised the entrepreneur how to market their inaugural 5K run/walk. As this was a new business, I focused on creating promotional and educative materials that complimented the brand’s modern, health focused identity.
